Chairman of the Indonesian Film Board (BPI), Fauzan Zidni, Officially Announces 2026–2030 Management Structure
The Chairman of the Badan Perfilman Indonesia (BPI), Fauzan Zidni, has officially announced the organization’s management structure for the 2026–2030 term. This announcement marks an important milestone amid the resurgence of Indonesia’s film industry in the post-pandemic era.
“Our main agenda focuses on strengthening human resources in the film sector through curriculum synchronization, internship hub programs, and sending young talents to top international film schools and global film labs. In addition, BPI will collaborate with the Ministry of Culture to revise the Film Law, aiming to strengthen BPI as an institution, reinforce film professions, enhance government support, ensure legal certainty and ease of investment, and protect freedom of expression,” Fauzan stated.
He added that BPI will also prioritize a nationwide anti-piracy movement, the organization of the Indonesian Film Festival, and the implementation of BPI’s mandates as outlined in the Film Law.
Minister of Culture Fadli Zon also expressed his expectations for the new board. “BPI holds a very strategic position as a bridge between the government and film practitioners. We hope BPI can further strengthen Indonesia’s film ecosystem, promote transparent governance, and create broader opportunities for creative talents across the country,” he said.
