Imajinari Officially Announces the Start of Filming for the Latest “AGAK LAEN 2” Movie
After achieving a sensational milestone with 9.1 million cinema viewers in February 2024, Imajinari is proud to announce that the latest installment of “AGAK LAEN” begins filming June 9, 2025
The film will once again be directed by Muhadkly Acho and produced by the dynamic duo of Ernest Prakasa and Dipa Andika.

In addition to marking the start of production, Imajinari has also revealed the cast for this sequel, including the return of the four main friends from the original: Bene Dion, Boris Bokir, Indra Jegel, and Oki Rengga. Tissa Biani is also set to reprise her role, alongside new additions to the cast, including comedians Awwe, Boah Sartika, Priska Baru Segu, and Gita Bhebhita!
Director Muhadkly Acho shared his thoughts on starting the production of the latest “AGAK LAEN”: “After the first film reached 9 million viewers, which felt unbelievable, I have to admit there’s a bit of pressure with the high expectations for the second film. But beyond that, I always stick to the principle that every time I make a film, I start from scratch. Forget the first one. What’s certain is that I’ll work on it with joy, so the result can be a work that entertains many people. Hopefully, just like the first film, the second one will also find a place in people’s hearts.”

Producer Ernest Prakasa expressed his excitement about the start of filming: “We always have a blast working together. People often ask, ‘Don’t you feel the pressure after the 9 million viewership?’ And the answer is no. We realize that number was a miracle, and miracles are hard to replicate. What’s most important is that we make a film that’s really, really funny.”
“While we can’t reveal much yet, we hope that everyone waiting for this film will pray for a smooth production process. The latest “AGAK LAEN” film will hit cinemas across Indonesia at the end of 2025,” added Dipa Andika, the producer.
