IDN Pictures officially released the latest teaser for their new horror film, “Perempuan Pembawa Sial,” marking director Fajar Nugros’
He’s return to the horror genre after his success with “Inang” (2022).
The teaser introduces
Mirah (Raihaanun), a woman haunted by a dark past in the form of a deadly curse:
all men who have sex with her will meet a tragic end.
Inspired by the ancient Javanese myth of Bahu Laweyan
“Perempuan Pembawa Sial” brings horror rooted in local culture with a psychological and emotional approach.
The curse is believed to afflict women with a certain spiritual “burden,” causing every man who becomes her partner to experience a tragic death.
In the teaser, Mirah is shown being ostracized by those around her because she’s considered a bad luck charm.
She’s seen as isolated and fearful, as if harboring something dangerous within her
The tension peaks when several men are shown dying tragically after having a relationship with her.
A narrative in the teaser reveals that every man who has sex with Mirah will die because her body is cursed with Bahu Laweyan.
The film stars Raihaanun, Clara Bernadeth, Morgan Oey, Rukman Rosadi, Aurra Kharisma, Banyu Bening, Benedictus Siregar
