Naura Ayu once again showcases her musical and emotional maturity through her newest single, “Lampu Jalan”, a heartfelt track that reflects her life journey, her growth, and her evolving sense of self-acceptance. This song marks one of Naura’s most personal works to date, as it is the first time she writes directly to the younger version of herself.
The core idea of “Lampu Jalan” stems from Naura’s long emotional connection with the Dongeng concerts, a series that has played an important role in her career since childhood. “Because I was involved in writing this song, the main inspiration came from wanting to embrace the younger version of myself. I felt I never had the moment to truly accept and hold my ‘little Naura,’ because for so long, I was too focused on proving that I had grown and was no longer that small child,” Naura shared. “Through this song, I learned that growing up doesn’t mean losing the original colors within us. Sometimes we’re too busy trying to appear as a new person, when in fact our older selves hold an honesty worth protecting,” she added.
In the creative process, Naura actively participated in the songwriting alongside producer Ivan Tangkulung, with Tarapti Ikhtiar Rinrin helping maintain the balance between Naura’s signature theatrical musicality and a warm pop atmosphere. The result is a dreamy, genuine, sentimental, and romantic musical-pop sound that reflects Naura’s artistic identity—now more mature, yet still rooted in her love for music and performance.
Symbolically, “Lampu Jalan” represents a journey home—a guiding light that leads one back to their true self. The song serves as a reflection on how everyone undergoes change, yet the core of who we are can always be rediscovered along the way. Naura emphasizes that “Lampu Jalan” is also about recognizing the meaning behind every step of life’s journey.
The music video for “Lampu Jalan,” directed by Adhi Reksa, uses soft yellow tones to symbolize joy, blessings, and grace. One of its most striking scenes shows Naura running—capturing a symbolic release from expectations and self-doubt, as well as the courage to keep moving forward. The project also brings together long-time creative collaborators who have accompanied Naura since Dongeng Concerts 1 to 4, including Rangga Djoned, Dudy Gunawan—Naura’s first choreographer for albums, concerts, films, and music videos—and her first stylist Arshyaly Faith. These are the people Naura believes truly understand her evolving visual and musical journey.
For Naura, “Lampu Jalan” is more than a song—it is a love letter to herself. “I receive so much love from others, yet I often forget to give love to myself. This song is dedicated to me, to the entire Dongeng family, to the late Om Okta, and to my parents who have supported me from the very beginning,” Naura says sincerely.
More than just a musical release, “Lampu Jalan” serves as a reminder that change is a natural part of growth, and every phase of life brings new colors. This song is also meant to accompany anyone navigating moments of self-discovery—especially during those quiet hours of midnight overthinking—reassuring listeners that there will always be light guiding them toward something better.
Naura Ayu’s “Lampu Jalan” is now available on all digital music platforms, and the official music video is available to watch starting November 17, 2025, on YouTube via Trinity Optima Production.
