The production will run from July 3–12, 2026, at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta.

A Futuristic Science-Fiction Musical Inspired by MALIQ & D’Essentials
Senja Teduh Pelita is a science-fiction musical adapted from the beloved songs of Indonesian music group MALIQ & D’Essentials.
Blending music, theater, and a thought-provoking reflection on the future of the planet, the production tells an emotional story about bravery, resilience, and the determination of a young generation facing a world on the brink of collapse.
The story transports audiences to a future where climate change, energy crises, unsustainable development, pandemics, and international wars have dramatically reduced the human population. Fertile land and clean water have become scarce resources. Then, one day, all adults vanish, leaving children alone to confront the consequences of the world they inherited.
At the center of the story is Arah (played by Alf Elijah Sigarlaki and Daria Lakshmi Algamar), a child who forms the Pasukan Pelita (The Pelita Brigade), a team of nine young survivors with unique abilities.
Joining Arah are:
- Kala (Xandrea Abigail Tabythaputri and Clioichi Junio Eigo), a historian who preserves knowledge of the old world.
- Volta (Sahlendra Syarief), an expert in electricity and mechanics.
- Lanit (Mavisha Reakana), a gifted stargazer.
- Hara (Emily Olivia), a specialist in plants and agriculture.
- Palu (Nayaka Maleakhi), a talented builder.
- Raga (Nadindra Gynta), an exceptional climber.
- Binbin (J. Rizhan), who has a unique connection with animals.
- Lagu (Annabella Farizky), whose sensitivity to music and sound becomes a powerful asset.
Together, they embark on a journey to search for hope and create a future worth fighting for.
A Story Designed for Everyone
Producer and director Nuya Susantono explained that Arah represents the belief that kindness and love can endure even in humanity’s darkest moments.
“Arah is someone who continues to believe in goodness and compassion, even when the world around them seems to have stopped caring. Both Arah and Kala will be portrayed by two performers of different genders—male and female versions of the same characters. While they experience the same journey, each interpretation brings a distinct emotional perspective. We wanted audiences to discover themselves in these characters, regardless of age or gender,” said Susantono.
