At the heart of the film is Sara Fajira‘s portrayal of Ayu, a high school student from Trenggalek, East Java. During a documentary shoot on the traditional Turonggo Yakso dance, Ayu and her friends unwittingly disturb a sacred site by taking a sacred stone from Watu Kandang
This seemingly innocuous act triggers a series of disturbing events, leading Ayu to become plagued by the malevolent spirit of Mbah Sarinten.

During the Press Screening and Gala Premiere of “Sinden Gaib,” Sara Fajira shared the complexities of her experience portraying Ayu, which required her to immerse herself in the distinct singing style of Banyuwangi.
Collaborating with Starvision and director Faozan Rizal, as well as the entire cast and crew, Fajira delivers a compelling performance as Ayu, whose soul becomes intertwined with that of Mbah Sarinten.
Synopsis
